Running is my therapy and it makes me happy on all kinds of levels. Tracking my runs are important to me because it helps me see my progress or lets me know that I am not running. I currently have Nike Plus and the Map My Run apps downloaded on my phone. I use both each time I run, but currently I like Map My Run the best.
With Map My Run you can view your information via your phone or online. You can preset your run routes. For example if I want to run 5 miles downtown I can search previous routes I ran, or others ran or I can create a new route to run.
I can also sync this with My Fitness Pal which is a plus since I use it to track my food and calories.
Both apps will talk to you and tell you when you hit each mile and how long each mile was. You can share on social media and set up challenges with friends on both apps. Nike Plus has a training program to that will set up a schedule. So if you wanted to run a 10k the Nike Plus app has a running schedule set up.
I do think I am going to try another running app just to see what else is available. But at this moment my favorite app is Map My Run.
